Warangelic This one wins all over. Combining some groovy melodeath and power metal so well that Eluvian made it distinctly their own. Favorite track: The Noble City.

B. Stobart A refreshing combination of Death and Power Metal- Some moments epic, some heavy. Harpsichord sections are really cool too! Favorite track: The Noble City.

1.
A day like any other, as the sun shines at Edendalk. The people stand united, believing nothing can go wrong The knights are strong, in them we trust Our walls are mighty and will never crumble. Lord, blessed be our town, blessed be the people, we will stay strong. In peril, we will prevail, forever united, people of Edendalk. A force to be reckoned with, the Edendalk guards They smile to the free folk, and walk around in town The nobles in the castle, drink wine and celebrate Being born to be the rulers, of such a divine place
2.
Every city has its dark side But there is always the slums Beggars, cripples and prostitutes They couldn't be more oppressed The walls keep them safe from the outside But it can't protect them from themselves The slaves of paradise With nowhere else to turn We have no honor so why play fair Among dirt and filth, we make our bed No money, no love, no glory, no hope So why should we care if Edendalk burns The nobles bless the city But it can’t save them from our curse Why care if you live in sin When you aren’t allowed near the church Beggars can't be choosers That’s why we live as we do Some may call us pests And, well, for them that might be true.
3.
Into a foreign land we march, searching for offerings, searching for blood Trample the fields of our enemies, hear the will of our lord Burning down everything in sight, set fire to cities, leveling homes Make the people our sacrifice, almighty, accept this blood We march, we march We serve, we serve We kill, we kill For Ogrukad Pillage, ravage kill and rape, strip them of all, take all they own We follow the scripture he has shown, the only law we know Fear is a pleasure that we seek, no savior from heaven, only death Run and hide to save yourself, Your love ones, will burn. On the field we stand Waiting for orders Waiting for his command Armed and restless Our target in sight Rise brothers, we are blessed tonight
4.
The knell rings in the final hour The citizens cry out in anguish and pain The utopia that was Is now in ruins from the raiders' invasion There were taken no prisoners They left the corpses to rot An assault with no other intention Than the pleasure that is the kill. The church bells, ringing, too late, the gates have fallen The church bells, ringing, in the ruins, of Edendalk The knell rings in the end of Edendalk The smell of charred bodies, and blood in the air The utopia is no more Fallen soldiers, executions, no life for miles Only a few got away But no one is unscarred The first of many cities to fall As the army marches on

about

Edendalk is just one of many cities that fell during the military campaigns of Ogrukad. His goal to cleanse the land and recreate it in his own image continues on the next album.
